This is my modified Esbit stove. I used 2 pieces of duct aluminum folded over for the wind guards and a simple piece for the bottom heat guard. I can save fuel by adding twigs to the burning tablet. It works much better in the wind than before and it doesn't char whatever is underneath it.

By the way, I have been using this stove for 18 years but just started using the windguards.
